A Very merry unbirthday

Camp has started again, and like always, the days have been full of art, creativity, and fun. On Friday I led a special activity for a group of lovely and imaginative campers- A Very Merry Unbirthday Party. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter's tea party we celebrated our Unbirthdays in a wacky and silly way.

At an Unbirthday party you must dress up! We wore our best party-attire: beaded necklaces, over-sized sunglasses, top hats, and bobbly antenas.

Everyone has an Unbirthday to celebrate. At an Unbirthday it is everyone's birthday! At our Unbirthday party we danced with partners, we switched seats to sit next to new friends, and we talked and laughed together.

"There are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get unbirthday presents, and only one for birthday presents, you know."- the Mad Hatter. That's why Unbirthdays are better! At our party we gave each other gifts and made each other cards.

Of course every good Unbirthday party needs tea! We drank iced tea with sugar cubes and ate mini cupcakes. We raised our glasses to toast the special day.

There may be surprises at your Unbirthday party. At our party there was an unplanned engagement and wedding! Proposals were made and gifts were exchanged. There was a game of charades, a photo shoot, and even a guest who was celebrating her real birthday! You can not plan everything at an Unbirthday, but you can be sure it will be fun and absolutely crazy.
